Rebecca Schonbrun

Rebecca is an award-winning director and choreographer, specializing in giving confidence to new actors and dancers. She believes that with patience and respect to the process, any child can perform like a pro! Originally from St Louis, Missouri, Rebecca could be found in regional productions including West Side Story, and Jekyll & Hyde the Musical before transitioning into directing and choreographing productions all over Colorado. For seven years, Rebecca directed and choreographed children’s theatre productions with Colorado Children’s Theatre, including: WEST SIDE STORY, THE MUSIC MAN JR., OLIVER!, INTO THE WOODS, and A CHORUS LINE. and contributed to several awards won at the Junior Theatre Festival (Excellence in Dance, Excellence in Music, and Excellence in Ensemble). Rebecca founded Apex Performing Arts Collective in 2021 with the mission of creating a positive, collaborative performance space for artists as well as high quality musical theatre productions for the Denver community.

Kami Seymour Martin

Kami Seymour Martin – B.F.A. NYU Musical Theatre. She co-founded California-based professional regional theater company, 3-D Theatricals, where she served as Associate Artistic Director for three years. Kami most recently worked with Colorado Children’s Theatre as a voice instructor for almost two years. She was on staff for five years at The Music Room School of Performing Arts as Director/Choreographer and Teacher for their musical theatre program working with kids ages 6-18. While living in NYC, she pursued performing and choreographing and was a trainer for CardioTapNYC. Kami also worked as a teaching artist for three years with KJK Productions working with children in an after-school theatre program for children ages 6-12. In 2018 she volunteered with ASTEP (Artists Striving To End Poverty) and went to India as a teaching artist at the Shanti Bhavan school teaching Musical Theatre.

Director/Choreographer credits: CRAZY FOR YOU, 42nd STREET, THE PAJAMA GAME, LIL’ ABNER, PETER PAN, and ALL HANDS ON DECK. Choreographer credits include: GYPSY, FUNNY GIRL (LA Times Critic’s Choice starring Nicole Parker), IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE (Backstage Critic’s Pick with Sally Struthers), HELLO DOLLY!, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, ANYTHING GOES, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, and CINDERELLA. Favorite performing credits include: The National Tour of I LOVE LUCY LIVE ON STAGE, A CHORUS LINE (Cassie), 9 TO 5 (Violet), THE PRODUCERS (Ulla), 42nd STREET (Anytime Annie), and THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE (Miss Flannery). Kami is a member of the Actors Equity Association and lives in the Denver area with her husband, Carlos, their baby girl, Keelabella.

Carlos Martin

Carlos is a member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA and has appeared in commercials, film, television, voice over, print, national tours, and originating roles regionally and Off Broadway.  He has directed, produced, choreographed and is beyond excited to join the APAC team!

In NYC Carlos studied with the incomparable Wynn Handman, who was Sanford Meisner’s assistant and the Artistic Director of the American Place Theater. Wynn’s students include a revolving door of celebrities, but most importantly, great artists . Carlos also worked extensively on tours and Off Broadway, and in the cabaret scene. In Los Angeles, Carlos studied Voice Over with Huck Ligget of Voice Casters and has voiced a multitude of radio spots. He has even done ADR work and that is a workshop in itself!  … You name it, Carlos has done it and is ready to give back!

Carlos has traveled the globe acting, singing, and dancing, doing pop, country, musical theater, and classical music, is a trained baritone, and has sung the National Anthem for the San Diego Padres, and even studied at the acclaimed Second City studios in Hollywood California.
